Due to the close resemblance, it is easy to mistake a Jack Russell Poodle cross for a Jack Russell. The best way to differentiate the two is through their appearance. A poodle will have a furry or wooly coat while a Jack Russell will usually be rough haired. This cross is not recommended for first-time owners since they are high maintenance and can prove ill-tempered with children and other animals.

A plump, short-legged dog, resembling that of your average terrier but with hair similar to that of your average poodle — what could such an animal be? Without false judgement or speculation, I introduce you to the unfortunate hybrid: The Jack Russell Poodle Cross.

In a world where most people are quick to judge, both the Jack Russell and Poodle have enough to deal with. For a hybrid to be born of these two breeds, it is inevitable that the owner will be questioned and undoubtedly turned away by many adoption agencies.

Any dog owner will tell you that dogs are a lot of work and require constant attention — obviously more than children. Therefore, it is not recommended to purchase a dog as a first pet for obvious reasons…
